Problems with EDI delimiters in smooks 1.3.1 version

Huynh Dao

Hi,

I’m new to Smooks and I can’t find the way to resolve this thing.

When I declared my EDI delimiters like that:

      <medi:delimiters segment="'" field="+" component=":"

            sub-component=":" escape="?" />

It doesn’t work.

But the point is that my EDI input file’s got a “ ‘ “ as a final delimiters.

Here’s an excerpt:

UNH+1+INVOIC:D:96A:UN:FTW100'

BGM+380+029065817+9'

DTM+3:20091031:102'

I tried :

- segment="’'
"

- segment="'
"

- segment="’
"

And none of them work.

So I don’t know what to do.

Hope everyone understands my question as it is not very clear. Please let me know

Dao.

SV: Problems with EDI delimiters in smooks 1.3.1 version

Bård Langöy

Hi Dao,

Try typing the delimiter ” '!$”. The !$ tells the EdiParser (BufferedSegmentReader) to ignore newlines.

Regards,

Bård

Hi Dao.

Looks like you're processing UN/EDIFACT messages there. You might be
interested in what we're doing in v1.4 wrt UN/EDIFACT:

This is still a work in progress, but is already quite useful imo.
